Clean room production
The RICO GROUP can offer the production of single and multi-component injection molded parts in clean rooms. The companies SIMTEC and SILCOPLAST, both subsidiaries of the RICO GROUP, have clean rooms with DIN ISO 7 and 8 certification classes.
What does DIN ISO 7 or DIN ISO 8 certification mean?
The DIN ISO 7 or DIN ISO 8 standard is the certification of a cleanroom class in accordance with ISO 14644-1. These standards specify how clean the air in a cleanroom must be. They determine how many and how large dust or dirt particles are permitted per cubic meter of air. The lower the number of particles, the cleaner the room.
What is done in the cleanroom?
We mainly produce silicone and multi-component parts for medical technology in the cleanroom. Electronic parts that require a particularly clean environment are also produced here.
The entire manufacturing process takes place in the cleanroom - from injection molding, assembly and tempering to washing and packaging.
How our high-tech components are produced in the clean room
The injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment are located outside the clean room.
Work such as changing tools or preparing material takes place outside. This prevents dirt or particles from entering the cleanroom.
The silicone parts (LSR) are automatically demolded and brought into the cleanroom in a closed, air-conditioned protective cover. They are not touched by people and do not come into contact with the outside air.
If further processing steps are required, these are automated immediately afterwards - also in a closed system. Only then are the parts sent to the clean room for inspection and packaging.
